Alexander Burmistrov (Russian: Александр Олегович Бурмистров, Russian pronunciation: [ɐlʲɪˈksandr bur'mʲistrəf], born October 21, 1991) is a professional Russian ice hockey forward currently a member of the Winnipeg Jets of the NHL. Burmistrov represented Russia at the 2010 World Junior Championships held in Saskatchewan, Canada. He was drafted by the Barrie Colts 12th overall in the 2009 CHL Import Draft.[1] Burmistrov was drafted 8th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers.

Burmistrov joined the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) after being selected 12th overall in the 2009 CHL Import Draft.[1] He made his debut in North America on September 17, 2009 against the Owen Sound Attack. He also recorded his first career OHL goal in this game.[1] On October 8, 2010, he made his NHL debut with the Thrashers against the Washington Capitals. On October 29, 2010, he scored his first NHL goal against the Buffalo Sabres. He got into his first NHL fight on December 11, 2010. It was against John Tavares of the New York Islanders, who was also in his first NHL fight.[2]
